Rutger Bregman is a Dutch historian and author. His sixth book "Humankind, a hopeful history" is out now.

The short version of his thesis is that deep down humans are pretty decent - and if you expect good things of people, they’ll do good things. If you expect bad things of people, they’ll do bad things.
